In the field of packaging materials, 3105 aluminum alloy has become an ideal choice for the manufacture of bottle caps for wine, beverages and high-end consumer goods due to its unique physical properties and processing advantages.
3105 aluminum alloy belongs to aluminum-manganese alloy (3xxx series), and its strength is significantly higher than that of industrial pure aluminum, with a yield strength of 120-150MPa and a tensile strength of about 180-220MPa. This feature enables it to withstand large tensile deformation without breaking during the stamping process, ensuring the stability of the bottle cap structure. In addition, the alloy also has good conductivity, corrosion resistance and welding performance, suitable for sealing needs in complex environments.
3105 bottle cap materials are usually supplied in the form of aluminum coils or aluminum sheets, and the common specifications are as follows:
Thickness range: 0.2-0.5mm (customizable according to customer needs);
Temple selection: H18 (hard state), H24 (semi-hard state), H26 (super-hard state), etc. Different states correspond to different strengths and processing difficulties;
Width and length: It can be flexibly adjusted according to production equipment and bottle cap size to meet the needs of large-scale production.
Plain aluminum sheet: It only undergoes basic surface treatment, including mechanical polishing and chemical degreasing, to retain the original color and metallic texture of the aluminum alloy. Its surface roughness Ra≤0.8μm, without additional coating coverage.
Painted aluminum sheet: It adopts roller coating or spraying technology, applies a 15-25μm thick organic coating (such as polyester, epoxy resin) on the surface of the glossy substrate, and bakes and cures at above 200℃. It can achieve monochrome, pearlescent or metallic glitter effects.
Printed aluminum sheet: On the basis of color coating, printing processes are superimposed, including gravure printing, offset printing or digital printing, which can achieve high-resolution patterns (above 300dpi) and gradient effects. The surface is covered with a 0.5-1μm UV varnish protective layer.
AA3105 is widely used to make bottle caps for liquor, wine, etc., using their high strength and corrosion resistance to ensure the sealing of the wine body.
It is also used to make bottle caps for carbonated beverages and functional beverage bottle caps, which need to withstand internal pressure and maintain hygiene.
It is also for making bottle cap of canned food, tea cans, etc., which extends shelf life through surface treatment.
