Composition: It has a higher magnesium content (4.0-5.0%), and silicon (≤0.25%) and iron (≤0.35%) are added. It belongs to the Al-Mg-Si alloy.

Tensile strength: 310-350MPa
Yield strength: 260-300MPa
Elongation: 12-15%
Features:
Higher strength: The tensile strength is about 15% higher than that of 5052 alloy, which is suitable for scenes that need to withstand high pressure.
Low work hardening rate: It is not easy to crack during stamping or stretching, and is suitable for the design of bottle caps with complex shapes.
Strong surface treatment compatibility: A variety of appearances can be achieved through anodizing or spraying.
5052 aluminum processing properties:
Good cold processing performance, suitable for simple stamping or spinning processes.
Heat treatment cannot be strengthened, usually supplied in H32 or H34 state (semi-hard state).

Mineral water bottle caps: It has high requirements for sealing but low pressure, 5052 has significant corrosion resistance and cost advantages.
Seasoning bottle caps: When in contact with acidic liquids, its corrosion resistance can ensure product safety.
Daily chemical product caps: Such as shampoo, shower gel, etc., an economical solution for lightweight needs.
5182 aluminum processing properties:
Excellent thermoforming performance, suitable for deep drawing or thinning and stretching processes.
It can be strengthened by T4 or T6 heat treatment to further improve strength. 5182 h111 is also very common.
Typical applications:
Carbonated beverage bottle caps: Under high pressure, high-strength 5182 can ensure the pressure resistance and sealing of the bottle caps.
Beer bottle caps: It needs to withstand high temperature and high pressure during sterilization, 5182 has more reliable anti-deformation ability.
High-end cosmetic bottle caps: The bottle caps made of 5182 has good surface treatment effect, which can meet the needs of metal texture and complex shape.
Cost priority: When the budget is limited and the performance requirements are not high, 5052 is a more economical choice.
High-pressure environment: Carbonated beverages, beer and other scenes give priority to the high strength characteristics of 5182.
Complex design: When deep drawing or special surface treatment is required, the processing flexibility of 5182 is more advantageous.
Environmental protection needs: Both are 100% recyclable, but 5182 has a higher lightweight potential and can reduce carbon emissions.
